Blueper por Stapleton Road Por Flickr: This is a shot I have had my eye on for a while and have seen some 1Z10 chums do the scene much credit. Living a couple of hundred miles away my opportunities were few and far between. As I was in the area taking a Danish friend of mine on a whistle stop tour of some English Railway hotspots and finding out the the Blue Pullman was in town (thanks Gav) I decided to pounce. So here is 43055 and 43046 working the 5Z55 1425 Doncaster West Yard to Crewe passing through Belper following working a tour from Hull to Paignton and back the previous day.

Fun Fact: I do actually plan on including Pip and Emma in my little TTTE au, I even have an idea on what their personalities would be like, it’s just that I genuinely can’t decide on keeping their canon basis or making them a Blue Pullman set
Throwback Thursday! Class 251 or 261 “Blue Pullman” DMU near Oldfield Park station in Bath, North East Somerset. In service from 1960-1973 on the Western Region of British Rail, the units were introduced to compete with automobile use and the fledgling domestic air travel market. Although the units were mechanically and economically unviable, they provided the inspiration for the iconic InterCity 125 sets introduced in 1975.
