B E A C H B L U E S The entry lounge in this Beach Bungalow is my favorite area. It’s such a relaxing space and the wall opening frames it beautifully. . I wanted the first impression of this space to be dramatic and so I recommended painting the entire room blue. . The wall opposite the door is painted with a chalk board paint in the same color. Welcome messages can be added to greet guests. . Loads of pillows are styled on a custom built bench with drink tables in front and a retro design rug below. I included yellow for an additional pop of color and whimsy. . Speaking of relaxing, I’m looking forward to my mini vacation to Atlanta this weekend. My weekends have been filled with lots of work and I am due for a much needed break. . S E A L I N G T H E B L U E S During the design consultation for this home, I suggested blue accents throughout the space to embody the vintage character. . When we approached this bedroom, the Airbnb property manager joked around and ask, “Are we going to paint the ceiling blue?”. I emphatically replied, “Yes!” . There was much hesitation, but the clients adore it now. The only thing missing is the beautiful, wood beaded chandelier. . Swipe left to the see the before photo. .
