Me: Whoa. David Burtka has a GUEST roll on How I Met Your Mother! JUST FIGURED THIS OUT! :D
Church Lady: Is this not Neal Patrick Harris' gay lover???
Me: His fiance! :D I still like his acting :)
Church Lady: You know I think Ellen Degeneres is hilarious but won't/can't watch her show because that would be supporting her lifestyle and we both know that God does not intend for us as His children to accept it!!!!
Cool Kid #2: Nope nope nope no.
Me: Lady, this is one time I have to disagree. Watching her show, or any show containing a gay person, is not supporting their lifestyle. It's watching TV for entertainment. As long as it is not sexual, derogatory to God/Christianity, or unrealistically crude and perverted, I have no beef with watching the show. Just my opinion.
Church Lady: Awwwww.....the devil himself couldn't have said it better. That's what he wants us to believe so that we as Christians can slip farther and farther away. A prime example of how our minds soak up what we watch and listen to is this....... Since I keep Ayden I have been letting him watch Barney. I now walk around singing Barney songs...that's what is in my mind day in and day out. Our brains are like computers...they are programmed by what we see, hear, and expose ourselves to. We either let the devil program our minds....or we let God program them. But we choose... And we CAN'T serve two masters!!!! I love you DeeJ!!!!
