“I know this hurts, it was meant to”
Fall Out Boy Lyric Meme (accepting)
After a moment, Bart licks his lips and he looks up at Jaime once more. His hands, they shook--his thoughts, they spun, and Bart felt his mouthgo dry for one moment, then two. He knew, on a logical level, Jaime wasright--that this was meant to hurt--but that didn’t stop Bart from going fromsixty to zero in roughly ten microseconds.
Hurt even more to look at the blade in his gut.

Catherine Wheel: How much pain can your muse withstand?(//oh god the worst one whyyyyy??)
I think Bart definitely has the capacity to endure a lot of physical pain. Thanks to his accelerated healing, whatever hurts usually doesn’t hurt for long. He’s no crybaby either. When he had to get knee-replacement surgery without anesthetic, he handled it like a champ all things considered. If he was being tortured, he would probably never talk as long as they were only using physical pain as a motivator. However, emotional pain is another story. Nothing hurts Bart more than emotional pain- the one thing against which his healing factor is totally useless. Thankfully he’s pretty emotionally stable, so it takes a seriously devastating blow to hurt him. But if that happens, he’ll break. No doubt about it.
I see you mackin’ on my bae, Jaime.

Go ahead, kiss him again. I dare you.

Bart may just be the living embodiment of the idiom “happy-go-lucky.” He lives fully in the moment and loves it when other people do too. Therefore, some of the things that make him happiest are events that are intense, high-energy, and never happen the same way twice - such as concerts, thrill rides, and missions with the team. However, he’s not one to dwell on the past, even if the memories were happy. Rather than saying “I wish I could go back so I could do that again!” Bart is more likely to say “I want to do something new!” because he’s able to get the most out of the experience as it’s happening and therefore doesn’t really feel the need to repeat it a bunch of times since that would get boring pretty quickly. He likes to have fun and move on to the next thing.
As for a body headcanon, I like to think that Bart is not someone who is overly aware of his body all the time. Not in the sense that he doesn’t care about his appearance, because he definitely does to a reasonable extent, but rather that he just doesn’t always have an accurate understanding of his body’s orientation in space and what his physical limitations are. This is mostly because of his accelerated growth issues. Bart’s been aged up and down so many times that he sometimes feels like a stranger in his constantly-changing body since the majority of the concern related to this problem was centered around how his mind would cope with these changes rather than how his body would cope with his mind. The result of all this is that Bart is often clumsy when doing unfamiliar physical tasks for the first time because sometimes he just doesn’t know what his body can and can’t do. Good thing he heals quick. A short list of a few of the times that Bart didn’t know his physical limits are as follows:
- Reached for a rock that was too far away for his arm while rock climbing and ended up falling
- Trips up and down the stairs more times than he’d like to admit
- Can break-dance pretty well, but sucks at slower, high-coordination dances
- Hits his head on low doorways
- Never buys clothes in the right size if he doesn’t try them on first. They’re usually too big.
