Picking only from the Oscar characters that I’m familiar with, I’d ship you with Poe Dameron. The sensitive, loyal, funny, wants kids. That’s what Poe needs in his life (post war.) And someone back home to worry about him? that’s just what this hot-headed flyboy needs to remember to think before he acts sometimes. You’re not about to tame him outright, because that just can’t be done, but now that he has something important to live for? He makes sure to make it home.
Now I can totally see you guys doing the friends to lovers thing. Like you two would be good friends so quickly once you both are in the resistance. Even if it isn’t your job, you’re always checking in on friends when they’re having a rough day or you just haven’t had a chat with them in a while, and he notices that about you. That you truly care about those around him, and that - plus the humor - slowly creeps into his heart.
You of course fall for him too, because he’s Poe MFing Dameron the handsomest best pilot for the resistance! How could you not? You probably tip toe around it a bit, but eventually you know there’s something between the two of you. You just know... But Poe is scared. The war is happening, he knows every day could be the last. He needs to keep his head in the air, so he keeps pushing back. He claims he doesn’t like you like that, but you know he’s lying.
Eventually, after some pushing from Leia I’m sure, he admits it all to you. That he does like you, and he’s scared, but he’d rather spend a few days having you than to die fighting in this war without it.
It’s not always easy going. He drives you nuts a lot of the time, and you drive him crazy a bit too, but with the good friendship foundation, the two of you make it work. Once both of you make it out the other end of the war, you two settle down together and get that family that you’ve always wanted, and he’s finally admitting to always wanting too.
