PhannieMay14 - Day4 -Transformation
Summary: the greatest transformation that the young boy had gone through these years was definitely his attitude and the day all the school realized this was when he finally confronted Dash Baxter.
Daniel Fenton was in his senior year of high school.
The innocent and fragile kid who had first placed foot on Casper High four years ago wasn't the same anymore. His body has developed like that of an athlete, even though none of his classmates knew how someone who didn't do any kind of sport had gotten so well built. His eyes were sharp, always observing, almost as if he were expecting for something to happen. But when he wasn't being overly conscious of his surroundings, you could see a glimpse of his innocence back into his deep blue eyes.
But the greatest transformation that the young boy had gone through these years was definitely his attitude. He wasn't scared anymore, and this was visible since the way he moved and spoke radiated confidence. And the day all the school realized this was when he finally confronted Dash Baxter.
Danny wasn't having the best day of his life as the incident that had occurred two days ago had left him in a very sad mood. The boy was walking down the hall alone, as his friends hadn't come to school that day, just like the day before. But he didn't remain alone for too long as Dash approached him to be of some 'company'.
"Sooo Fentonia, I heard your girlfriend and the geek got hurt because of you. I knew you were pathetic but this time you settled a new record!" The blonde boy said with a mocking tone in his voice. The young halfa just kept walking; he couldn't let the football player get the best of him, not now that he didn't have anyone to restrain him from losing it.
Baxter, noting he was being ignored, kept walking behind him, this time angry.
"So now you are going to run away from me? You are the greatest coward of this century, I guess I'm going to give you a lesson about strength" He said, taking Danny by the shoulder and pushing him into a wall. "So what about running away now, eh freak?" He taunted, but the black haired boy wouldn't look at him back, and just replied:
"If you're going to hit me do it fast, I don't want to be late again at least for once" His voice low but sharp. The football star didn't take it too well.
"Oh so now you reply back, I bet you said the same thing to the ghost when he hurt your friends "Oh please, attack them fast so I can run away like THE SCARED IDIOT I AM" hahahahahahaha!" The blonde said pretty loudly for everyone to hear, but no one laughed with him.
"You're wrong" Danny said, making Dash to look back at him.
"Excuse me, did you say something?" He said, looking him in the eye as an attempt on intimidating the boy.
"I said you are wrong. Because I'm not like you, I care about my friends and my family. Something you lack of off course which is why you can't comprehend how anyone feels, not me nor you friends or anyone. Because the only thing you care about is your-" He couldn't finish the sentence as Dash hit him full in the face, making him fall into the ground.
"YOU DARE TO SAY THAT AGAIN FENTON" He yelled infuriated at the knocked down kid. Or at least he thought he had knocked, so when he turned his back to the wall he never expected to be pushed back into the same wall as the black haired teen pinned him at the same spot he was only a minute ago. Not a single sign of the hit he had just received in his face.
"Listen to me now Dash Baxter; I'm through with you and your stupid bullying, of myself or anyone in the school. I’m through with your words and taunting, which is not humane. Next time you mock anyone just because you are too ignorant to understand the situation they are going through I'm not going to be the silent peaceful boy you have met all these years, because it’s not fair with anyone, not even with you that you have to act like an animal towards the students of this school. Got it?"
There was something about Daniel's tone and eyes that made the hallway drop in temperature, and send shivers down Baxter's spine. Being completely scared of his voice, and even more of the strength that was exerted by the teen to keep him pinned down by the shoulders, he didn't have much choice but to nod. So he did, nodded, completely speechless and for a moment he thought it wasn't enough because Danny kept staring him down, his shoulders already hurting from the force. Until he suddenly was set free as Fenton got back to his senses and left abruptly, towards his next class.
No one ever got into the bad side of him since that day onwards, because in the eyes of the students, the fragile cute black haired boy had transformed into the young strong and confident man who was respected by all, even by Dash Baxter, the former school bully.
