ok so i ran avast and it detected an infection that malwarebytes and windows defender couldn't find

brb backing up all my files online before i restart in case i cant get back into my laptop

I have never heard of those. I use AVG free and it's saved my ass for 8 years. Anthony uses avast which is also free and on par with avg. You can always give one of those a try to see if they pick up anything else? I was worried u had norton/macafee

malwarebytes is more for spyware/malware. i've been needing a good antivirus program for a while so i guess now's the time to get avast!

What virus scanner do you have woman?

i've got malwarebytes and windows defender. i did a scan with both and only one infected file showed up soooo idk whats happening

like i'm trying to think if i've done anything differently with my laptop within the past couple weeks. the only major download i can remember was when i bought the rpg maker humble bundle. other than that i p much only ever go on tumblr, flight rising, youtube, and fb, with occasional trips to neopets and furaffinity so idk if it's a virus or????

i might have fixed it???? i attempted to do a system restore and it gave me an error code so i closed it out, then it went straight to the login screen???? i'm running malwarebytes now but idk whats going on
