Since you're taking suggestions for your cult au, I was wondering what your take on Melanie would be here. Particularly, if they both mutually know Georgie here as well, and Melanie ends up at the Institute. If she gets suspicious and reports back to Georgie, that could get very bad for the Eye cult. So would Jonah try to trick her into joining like in canon? (Or try to?) Or would they just try to chase her off? Also, I think your Jon/Eye brainworms are contagious and multiplying.
ok, answering this even though melanie's a bit in the future bc i do think i have some fun stuff to share
which is that i do, now, officially know what melanie's role is going to be. and i'm quite excited, bc i think it's a fun way of combining the conflicted feelings of a jon who's been around a while and is now kind of attached to gerry, sasha, etc, and the inherently ambivalent vibe of his relationship with melanie, where they can never quite get along.
idk if she'll successfully rescue him/reunite him with georgie, but she will make his life more stressful. and really, on a fundamental level, isn't that all either of them want? to be moderately frustrating and annoying to each other?
