Cute Sally wants you to enjoy this cream blush!
Please excuse the crappy picture, I don’t have a proper camera and lighting and photo-editing apps. Neither do I take good pictures.
That is the reason why I decided to have a journal–slash–diary type of blog, so I won’t have to stress over good pictures and lighting and stuffs. I just want to write and share, and I will do my best to provide decent pictures if it could support my content.
Anyway, that is Cream Cheek in the shade CL01 from Canmake. Whenever someone mentions Canmake in a conversation, their Cream Cheek line always comes to mind. It is basically a gel-based cream blush. I have better luck with the clear series (CL) which features bold colors in a translucent base, while some in the original line have milkier colors with shimmer. Don’t take my word for it though, because shade 14 in the original line also runs bold and translucent, sans shimmer.
CL01 is a bright, neutral cherry red shade. Feels like a gel–to–powder formula, and is definitely buildable. I like to apply this with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge because fingers tend to apply it in an uneven manner. I use the pointy side to pick up product from the pan, and apply with a dabbing motion.
I think this product plays better with lightweight, gel or water-based base. Once I wore Dr. Jart+ Premium BB as base, and applied Cream Cheek with my fingers. To my surprise, some of my BB cream rubbed off, yet no color was deposited. Using a makeup sponge took care of that problem.
When set with powder, this stays nicely without fading. Keep in mind that I don’t have oily skin, and without setting powder I definitely noticed some fading.
Let’s see.. A lip and cheek product at ¥580 for 2.5 grams of product, why not? Although maybe not in the same color. I still have CL05, 14, and 02-03-04 from their latest Lip & Cheek Gel line.
