Megatron couldn't get rid of his organic side through self experimentation and neither could he got rid of his original pesky blue optic colours. His last hope was to rid of his old self once more and transfer his spark in to a perfect, flawless, technological body. After that, he would wait for Primal's eventual arrival and defeat.
