This was a flashback back then when they didn't know each other. Lyuo being the prodigy, a little boy carrying a world on his back since such young age. As we can see he was crying bc likely his Grandfather fough with Lord Noble Michael, who happened to be his adoptive father at some point. Then Jin hearing the noises as he paid a visit to his own grandpa, Zain, and kinda knew what his fate was written, destined to be the Lord's butler, he peered curiosity just to find a small kid crying behind the bushes, his instincts drawing him to little boy, thinking he was injured, just to find the little boy's tears were more than just physical ones, they held a deep meaning. Since then trying to care of that smol bean, who denies to show weakness buring down his emotions. Maybe that's why Jin feels like the young Lord's dad protecting him even from himself.
