The BMW E46 Compact: affordable, fun, and pure rear-wheel-drive joy. But those 'bug-eyed' front lights? Love 'em or hate 'em, they sparked debate. Pictured is the E46 325ti which was powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six cylinder, Bosch Motronic fuel-injected M54B25 engine with 192 hp (141 kW) @ 6,000 rpm - 181 ft. lbs. (245 Nm) of torque @ 3,500 rpm, 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 7.1 seconds with a top speed of 146 mph (235 km/h). +/- 42,000 units were produced between 2001 and 2005 for global markets (Europe, Asia, Australia, and others; not U.S.).
