Freshman year I went to my first Bands of America competition at Jacksonville State University. We didn't do that well and I don't remember the show very much or what any of the other bands played but I do remember the impact JSU had on me with their exhibition performance that night. That performance by the JSU Marching Southerners was my first introduction to college band and one of the first sparks of my realization of my love for marching band. Today I got to march in exhibition with the Million Dollar Band at BOA Grand National Championships. It was truly a thrilling end to a long journey and I can say that I left everything on the field (expect my gauntlet). I hope our performance had the same impact on some of the band members in the audience as JSU's band had on me. #rolltide #boa2017 #boagrandnats
