For thousands of years it has been an island of calm within the Chaos. It is a center of power, a model of stability, and a beacon of integrity. The Nine Ruling Families guard it from within; the Expansionary Defense Fleet guards it from without. Its neighbors are left in peace, its enemies are left in ruin. It is light and culture and glory. It is the Chiss Ascendancy.

You don't usually take treks to the seaside, your interests laying more in pursuit of dangers that threaten trolls inland due to the fact you don't swim very well and highbloods tending to take intrusion into their territories poorly at times. Still, you are making an exception this time around, and for very specific reason too: you are hunting pirates.

Yes, pirates, the terror of the seas. You keep hearing rumors on how they flaunt any idea of justice and honor and grow ever stronger because there are very few who bother challenging them instead of just staying out of their way. While you can't fault the logic when it comes to those living little further from everybody else, you know that pirate fleets are a problem, so you have ventured to the seaside for one specific reason: to meet some pirates and hopefully piss the hell out of them.

What? You have to test the results of your relentless, driven training SOMEDAY, and fighting pirates seems like a good way to start.

Dredging along the shoreline in your heavy armor making slight metallic sound with each step and your long, blue cloak whipping in the wind behind yourself, you smile to yourself as you see docks in sight. If you won't be able to find some pirates there, you will eat your pauldrons.
