I wanted to keep my Art on Tumblr up to date and post everything I produce in 2023, especially from my headworld, but I already got lazy and have a backlog! And also neglected tumblr (and you!) in general, so sorry for that! I was very RL busy the last few weeks. Enough excuses, art!
A picture I finished in January, which is very lore heavy, featuring the actual main character of my head world main story (Colin).
From left to right: Fritz (lumberjack), Colin (former prince, tavern servant), Wilhelm (high ranking politician), and Sepp (blacksmith).
The most important info on Colin’s backstory, to better understand the picture:
second son of the king
banished for freeing a prisoner (at age 14)
lives among common folk as tavern servant (incognito)
reveals his identity to prevent civil unrest (helps the common folk to deal with social problems without violence, protecting them)
Now for the current picture: The main way how Colin helps the common folk is with education (teaching them to read, non-obvious legislation, etc.) but there are problems that cannot be solved by this. So Colin seeks out old acquaintances from the high society to threaten them have a friendly exchange with them about the possibilities of improving the lives of the common folk. On the picture he talks to Wilhelm. Wilhelm is a very high up in politics, a personal advisor to the king and belongs to one of the wealthiest families in the kingdom. No no, Colin did not deliberately take the lumberjack (Fritz) and the blacksmith (Sepp) because he thought they looked particularly threatening. It just happened that only the two of them had time.
If you were wondering, yes, Wilhelm is the grandfather of Winfried. So the conversation took the expected turn when you talk to a member of this family :')
