Patterns @ Boardner’s 10/21/15
Last week Costa Rica’s disco rock troupe packed the house (or the courtyard) at Boardner’s in Hollywood; you wouldn’t have thought it was one of their first shows in the states, but it was. And they knew how to get the crowd grooving, because that’s what their music does to your body and that’s what Patterns’ mission is all about- getting the crowd going.
They foursome is part of a thriving Costa Rican indie scene but have set themselves apart from the rest of the pack with their tropical disco style that touch on the “ying and the yang” of dark and light sounds. Their newest single/video “Shout” is on the dark side, and we can expect more new music soon with their Shout EP (five songs and a remix from Tesla Boy), out soon!
Patterns has been getting heavy support from the West Coast, so expect to see their names back on the marquee very soon and enjoy their full-length LP, Dangerous Intentions, from 2013 on Apple Music here while you patiently await new (really hard) grooves!
