Michigan City, IN Matey’s has got to hopping in the summer. It’s near Lake Michigan and walking distance from the Marina. Fun choices on the menu. The bruschetta with fresh mozzarella and a drizzle of balsamic was great. The fish basket was beer battered and tasty. Their almost famous gumbo chowder could have had more heat but the seafood flavor was evident. The oysters Rockefeller had a hint of Italian flare to the taste and were enjoyable. Fun place, very clean and decorated for the boaters. I give it a 3.5.
