Some surprising soundtrack inclusions are basically just a bit of a dare to those who listen to them thanks to the strangeness they tend to represent with themselves. To give you an example, check One From The Heart. The movie was already weird enough as another crazy Coppola thing, yet the soundtrack located Tom Waits in his transitional phase. Mind you, I'm not suggesting his collaboration with Coppola turned him into Waits we know now, I think Coppola caught him in the time, where he wished to move beyond what he was in the 70's, yet he needed an opportunity to celebrate something like this. What better one than a soundtrack for a musical made by the maddest director of New Hollywood? While the music's good, the movie could've been a lot better.
