From Dick Winter's Personal File , Winter's Files, USAHEC,
Easy Co command chart and officer movement from Aug '42 onward.
2n Battalion roster March 1944 including HQ, Dog and Easy Co.

Please indicate your attitude toward having this officer under your command. Would you---
Particularly desire to have him?
Be glad to have him?
Be willing to have him?
Prefer not to have him?
Dick Winter's file on Brewer contains his shade on Webster.
And the accompanying letter from Brewer to Ambrose telling him that he was his platoon leader and the guy wasn't the hero he thought he was. Including a story about the censors having to read Websters letter to his mother and Brewer having to be the one to talk to him about sending home TO+E of PIR. Brewer feels he "resented junior officers" and always had "sharpshooting questions" during classroom session and needed to stop "bucking the system" and next day Web wrote his Mom and used Brewers words.
