he looks a little gross in that way thats like faintly greasy hair end of day skin texture the shadow of stubble thats half beard half mistake. makes him hotter actually. he looks like the kind of guy who’s a little too charming on hinge with painfully stiff profile pics but you swipe right anyway and he shows up a bit unkempt but taller than expected and laughs at everything you say and then turns out to be a freak in bed.

The bed shifts as Carlos moves closer, a hand hesitantly fluttering by Oscar's lower back, not knowing if its touch would be welcome. "I do not understand, I'm not doing anything?"
"Yeah that's the fucking problem," slips out without Oscar's permission, making him cringe. There goes his chance for a peaceful ending to a crappy day.

Okay here goes:
The year is 2025. Over the season we see a long and drawn out title fight between Ferrari and Mclaren. For both WCC and WDC.
At first it's close. Like really close, and this makes things let's say tense between the two frontrunners that emerge. Not Charles and Lando, or Charles and Max. No, it's Charles and Oscar. And they are friendly right, they have joked around online so they think they have got this, they can be perfectly fine competing for WDC.
Of course it's not that easy. Tensions within teams run deeper, races get more contentious. Penalties become more bullshit and eventually both drivers have said some choice words about each other and to each other in private.
This gets harder when at the end of the season Charles pulls pretty handily away with the WDC. Mostly because of superior Ferrari upgrades.
Now this is just the backstory for this.
Because Lewis shockingly retires early. No one saw it coming.
So guess what Ferrari want to get the 2025 vice champion as well.
After a long period of contract negotiation Ferrari do manage to steal Oscar away from Mclaren.
But now Oscar has a very new challenge, try to fit into Ferrari, a very different team environment from what he's used to at Mclaren.
Things have cooled down between Oscar and Charles from the 2025 season. They think. Charles teaches Oscar Italian before the season starts, he gives him a new better tour of Monaco, it's all looking pretty good.
Until the cars hit the track again and Charles and Oscar find themselves in very familiar territory to 2025, competing at the front of the field, but this time they are teammates, and all the competition from the previous season and some weird feelings from over break really come to a head to make it a very messy teammate partnership/rivalry.
However now that they are teammates Oscar sees a side of Charles he didn't before, the one that isn't polite, the one that will tell him things straight. Same with Charles, he gets to see the Oscar who gets turned around in the new garage, who sometimes just wants places to sit quietly and who actually gets angry when he thinks he let the team down.
Around the halfway point in the season there is a bad race. A really bad race. One where they both think the other is at fault.
And that's when they act on some more physical impulses. That doesn't fix anything but it does make things more emotionally complicated.
Until they get back from break and the upgrades aren't what the team needed and now the WCC is getting really tight again against Mclaren.
It's at this point they actually start figuring out how to work together on track. Charles does not want to lose another WCC to Mclaren, and Oscar wants to beat his old team, prove he made the right choice.
This marks a turning point in their relationship as teammates.
HOWEVER.
They get more and more awkward around each other because yeah they keep hooking up but they don't talk about it. Because talking about it would probably complicate the very tense season. But also neither wants to stop hooking up.
And that's all I got for now
We need to really explore the Ferrari vs Mclaren of it all, the way two guys who really do get along would deal under pressure from their rival teams AND on the same team and how that smashes them together.

5. illinoise by sufjan stevens — out of all of his records, this one is definitely my favorite. it's got the perfect mixture of the existential sadness sufjan is best at and instrumentals you can either dance or cry to. my standouts: come on! feel the illinoise! , casimir pulaski day, (and this is technically from a different release of outtakes from the album but im counting it) chicago multiple personality disorder version
4. mint jams by casiopea — what more is there to be said, man. japanese jazz fusion is a soothing balm for the soul . jazz in general is wonderful, & this album is a huge Must Have for me. no particular standouts since it's only seven songs, and all seven are perfection.
3. hounds of love by kate bush — ugh. girl. what a fucking icon. she was so ahead of her time by a longshot. it has every right to be on apple music's top 100 best albums of all time; i will never get tired of listening to it. my standouts: mother stands for comfort, cloudbusting, & hounds of love
2. infinity on high by fall out boy — ahhh...the yaoi album of all time. patrick stump's soul punk roots are begging to be released from their confines every five seconds and it's the icing on the beautiful petekey cake that is infinity on high. i love all of fall out boy's earlier work, & this one is 100% under appreciated. my standouts: bang the doldrums (a song based off a blogspot post fob's bassist pete wentz wrote about his summer situationship with my chemical romance's bassist mikey way), hum hallelujah (also rumored to be about mikey way), & i've got all this ringing in my ears and none on my fingers (also, you guessed it, rumored to be about mikey way)
1. danger days: the true lives of the fabulous killjoys by my chemical romance — this album, for some bizarre reason, is MCR's least popular record. and i have no idea why. i remember seeing some people say it was as if the band was selling out, since fall out boy was also pivoting away from the hard rock/punk roots of their earlier records at the same time. while danger days is much different than, i dunno literally all of their albums, it's Perfectly different. it's so thoroughly and completely gerard. you can tell so much love when into this work, and if you know the story of the demolition lovers or better yet, have read the killjoys comics—it makes this album so much better. it's danceable, it's blastable, it's everything.
my standouts in no particular order: bulletproof heart, save yourself i'll hold them back (Criminally underrated song) & vampire money
out of everything i listed, i will suggest danger days the most to anyone who has read this far & hasn't ever listened to my chemical romance. if you like synths paired with mind blowing guitar solos from ray toro and frank iero, this album is for you <3

unfortunately the mind-of-kee isn't all that interesting!! my writing process is often like, there is a spark of an idea, or a vibe i want to achieve, and i tend to just start writing until it gets to a point that feels correct! i don't do a ton of planning, like i'm very much a seat-of-pants writer. sometimes i'll cobble together a note on my phone that can range from timelines to like, lyrics or quotes from video essays/books that feel like they apply? or just freewrite and use that to build on the actual fic in a doc later!!
as far as specific word usage/language... idk, i read a lot?? and i have a note in my notes app where i'll write down words and sentence structures that i find interesting and then i can refer back to that to stir up inspo!! highly recommend this method
i'll pop a couple screengrabs of my notes app after the cut here, it's not all that interesting but it's part of the process and you ASKED!
so the first note is like, maybe a quarter?? of the full note? and it's just the freewriting/spitballing note for the musician au fic that i may never finish, but the note's kind of cool. i like to freewrite like this because i don't get caught up in like, worrying about being too pretentious or purple, it's just sort of like sketching for myself??
the second one is like. an itty bitty bit of a long long long note where i just drop ideas or phrases that activate some sort of sleeper agent reaction in my brain LMAO or just things i don't want to forget. like wwe au am i ever going to do anything with that? god knows. but it sure is in there as something that could happen one day
anyway this got a bit wordy and i don't know if i've actually answered anything clearly at all BUT!! that's often the vibe in the kee brain tysm for this 😭

I got into f1 through sim racing in 2020 - weirdly enough - but only slowly started watching/interacting with the f1 fandom around ‘23/‘24
I started out as part of the tifosi (I had driven a sim ferrari for a while at this point and needed someone to support haha) and after watching edits, interviews and races suddenly found myself also supporting drivers of other teams (shocker: mostly oscar lol)
