Finally finished my new Bookmark design. This bookmark is especially designed by me for those beginning their journey in bobbin lacemaking. There are three variations to this pattern and each one includes full video instructions for each stitch.

I back all my bookmarks onto thin leather as I think that they then can be shown off to their best.

I cut the thin leather out with a die cutting machine (baby cuttlebug) and sew the bookmark onto the leather backing it with felt.

This pattern will be in my shop as from tomorrow and will be available to purchase.

#marchmeetthemaker Day 3.... FlatLay Not something I have ever done but here goes. The picture shows the patterns for the Almond Blossom series. They make the 4 little bookmarks and the large white bookmark. In the picture are also two pairs of midland lace bobbins. I respangled these this morning and the pink pair I covered my old 35 year old wooden bobbins with pink nail varnish just to see what they would look like. The two balls of thread are what I advise to use for the large white bookmark.
