In case you forgot about this nightmare, the bobbit worm grows 9 cm to over 9 feet.
A bobbit worm [sometimes spelled with two t’s, and also referred to as the sand striker, Eunice aphroditois] coming up for a snack.
Meet the Bobbit Worm
Eunice Aphroditois, also known as the Bobbit worm, is an aquatic predatory polychaete worm dwelling at the ocean floor. This organism buries its long body into an ocean bed composed of gravel, mud or corals, where it waits patiently for a stimulus to one of its five antennae, attacking when it senses prey. Armed with sharp teeth, it is known to attack with such speeds, it's prey is sometimes sliced in half.
These worms can grow up to sizes of 3 meters (9.8 ft) although most of them stop at 1 meter.
