U turn (1997): Valla ne yalan söyliyim bu filmi bilgisayarıma alırken de, şööyle bi göz gezdirirken de sade, klasik bi romantik komedidir diye düşünmüştüm ama film beni fena halde yanılttı. Baya baya ağzım açık izledim bazı kısımlarını, çünkü ciddi manada beklemediğim şeyler oldu bi anda filmde..

Kısaca özetleyelim: Bobby, eski model arabasıyla uzun yolda tek başına yolculuk eden bir adamdır. Borcu olan adamlara borcunu teslim etmek için yollara düşmüştür. Fakat yolda bir anda arabası arızalanır ve bir yan yola girerek bir tamircide mola verir. Daha zaten işin başında tamirci bile o kadar tuhaftır ki, burdan bile ne biçim bi yere geldiğini anlamalıydı aslında. Ama bizim Bobby mecburen arabasını orda bırakır ve o tamir olana kadar yakındaki kasabaya gider. Zaten herşey de bundan sonra başlar. Dünyanın en tuhaf kasabası, en sıcak havası, en tuhaf insanları, güzeller güzeli Grace ve  bütün bunların arasında sıkışıp kalan Bobby.. Yahu film boyunca adamcağız öyle şeyler yaşadı ki.. O kadar abzürt şeylere maruz kaldı ki, şaşkınlıkla izledim tüm filmi. Hele bi de o son part... Töbeler olsun..

Böyle çıkmasını beklemiyodum ama cidden çok değişikti. Boş vaktinizde güzel gider. Hadi bakalım..

1. His favourite show is the X-Files and he isn’t around to see the revival ;___;

2. After his death, his YouTube fans opened a children’s charity in his name, advocating literacy and free higher education for less fortunate families.

3. He never expected to meet anyone, let alone fall in love and had already resigned himself to living more or less happily alone forever, before her met Steph. This was at the age of 27 (he’s a little dramatic).

4. He was more taken aback by his son coming out as gay (or rather, announcing that he had a boyfriend), than his wife was, and he prides himself in having reacted so calmly and supportively. (He may also have cried at little bit at Hunter and Alex’s wedding♥).

5. He was relieved beyond belief that he managed to make his peace with Quo in the end. He can’t stand seeing Jenna sad; he sees a lot of himself in her.

Though I didn’t know it when I made you, from the moment you two met it was clear to me that you would be the perfect man for Stephanie. You laughed at her jokes, were a shoulder to cry on, loved her cooking... and everything in between. You had a stellar career in the gaming industry and even became famous on YouTube in your elder years under the alias “BobbyPie”. You were protective of your children to the degree that you raged at your daughter’s boyfriend when he got her pregnant unexpectedly, but you eventually took it upon yourself to settle your differences. The only thing you couldn’t cope with was your wife’s passing. You were never the same after it happened, and I truly hope the two of you are together, wherever you are now.
