RWBY: Beyond the Sea
A beautiful moonlit stroll seemed like the perfect end to a date and Oscar could think of no better place than the beach. He walked with Ruby, trying his best to fight off the blush he was sporting as his hands touched hers.
Ruby: Thanks for tonight, Oscar. I had a really good time. *beams*
Oscar: M-Me too, Ruby. *nervous giggle*
Ruby: Hm? Is everything okay? You seem a little tense.
Oscar: T-Tense? Pssssh, no!!! I'm fine, I'm.... *sigh* Okay, I'm a nervous wreck!
Ruby; W-Why? D-Did you not like the date?
Oscar: What? No! Of course not, I loved it! I just.... Ruby, this was my first date ever and I'm scared that I might mess it up.
Ruby: Nope.
Oscar: *blinks twice* Nope?
Ruby: You didn't mess anything mess anything up, dummy. *giggles and ruffles his hair* You did great!
Oscar: I-I did?
Ruby: Yes. *smiles* Oscar, this was my first date too and I had a blast. *touches his hands* You shouldn't sell yourself so short.
Oscar: *blushes* I-I guess not. Thanks Ruby. *smiles*
Ruby: *wraps her arms around Oscar* You're welcome. *kisses him* Mwah!
Oscar's eyes were close to popping out of his sockets. Did he just kiss Ruby? He stood there, frozen. His brain trying comprehend what happened.
Ruby: Oscar? Hello? *waves hand in front of him* You there?
Oscar: *beet red* Ababababababa.
Ruby: *giggles* Maybe that kiss was a bit much. *sighs* God, he's so cute! Oh, I know! I'll get the two of us some ice cream. That'll fix him.
As Ruby left to go to the ice cream parlour nearby, Oscar's feet started tapping, seemingly breaking out of his frozen state. He soon started humming the very same tune his father sang.
Oscar: 🎶Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waiting for me
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing🎶
🎶Somewhere beyond the sea
She's there watching for me
If I could fly like birds on high!
Then straight to her arms
I'd go sailing!🎶
His singing soon became louder and more confident. He even spun on the spot.
Oscar: 🎶It's far beyond the stars!
It's near beyond the moon!
I know beyond a doubt!
My heart will lead me there soon!🎶
🎶We'll meet beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailing!🎶
Oscar couldn't contain himself anymore and started skipping along merrily.
Oscar: 🎶I know beyond a doubt!
My heart will lead me there soon!
We'll meet, I know we'll meet, beyond the shore!
We'll kiss just as before!
Happy we'll be beyond the sea!
And never again I'll go sailing!🎶
🎶No more sailing
So long sailing
Bye bye sailing🎶
Ozpin: (You really got to stop doing that.)
Oscar: Shut up, Oz! I'm happy! Let me celebrate!
Ozpin: (Kids today.)

Okay, so I started answering this at work but then it blipped on me and I left to head home, so take two, shall we??? ;)
These lyrics are so relatable...
If it were easy as fishin' you could be a musician If you could make sounds loud or mellow Get a second-hand guitar, chances are you'll go far If you get in with the right bunch of fellows People see you having fun just a-lying in the sun Tell them that you like it this way It's the work that we avoid, and we're all self-employed We love to work at nothing all day
This one came out when I was in college and I fell in love with it before I realized it was a cover of a Simon & Garfunkel song. I have to say, I like the Bangles version better. :)
Hang on to your hopes, my friend. That's an easy thing to say, But if your hopes should pass away Simply pretend that you can build them again.
Look around, The grass is high, The fields are ripe, It's the springtime of my life.
Seasons change with the scenery; Weaving time in a tapestry. Won't you stop and remember me
Okay, so this is another Caleb song... I'm sure you can figure out why! lol :D
It's far beyond the stars It's near beyond the moon I know beyond a doubt My heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet beyond the shore We'll kiss just as before Happy we'll be beyond the sea And never again I'll go sailing
I know beyond a doubt, ah My heart will lead me there soon We'll meet (I know we'll meet) beyond the shore We'll kiss just as before Happy we'll be beyond the sea And never again I'll go sailing
No more sailing So long sailing Bye bye sailing
