While having a conversation with my dear friend, @emmatriarchy, & they asked me about Bobby’s reforming abilities from Vapor & if he uses it to modify or transform his non-ice form/armor form (human form). So when I got the urge to post this picture & make comments about Bobby looking like he’s going through a Sailor Moon transformation I ended up on a tangent in the tags. So this is going from crack to a headcanon. xD Which got super long so it’s under the cut.

I do see Bobby making modifications to his body. Mainly for his fear of losing control & his powers, or control of said power goes hand & hand with his mental stability & his physical fitness. Maintaining his ice form alone, can be fairly tiring both physically & mentally when he holds it for over 6 hours continuously.
This is discounting the times when he’s stuck in his Ice form/armor. When he loses control of his power, he’s essentially trapped within this form. Which also leaves him emotionally disconnected. He was a huge asshole the first time it happened (mainly when he froze the world with the Death Seed), while other’s he purposely goes to the coldest area of the Earth to keep himself from harming others (marvel voices infinity comics)
With further consideration & how Mar.vel’s artists continue to shift his hair from blonde, brown, dirty brown & even strangely, red. I’m not sure he’s fully aware that he’s doing it. Especially when he makes himself gigantic to fight enemies. Which leads to him shifting his body into muscular fist fighting. Either himself or using a golem to do the fight. (Making himself is normally when he has to reform himself in the middle of the fight & isn’t sliding around with a non-combatant.)
So I do see it as him just changing shape & not noticing he’s left some of those changes behind when he shrinks himself back down to his normal height. Maybe even taking on a few changes he makes to the golem if the fight itself lasts. At least at first, he’d notice when he’s out of his ice form/armor, anyone would but I also don’t see him changing it back unless it’s a ‘oh wow why do i have red hair suddenly?’ or a ‘wow i should not have a spike there o.o’ moment.
Which isn’t all together healthy, reaching peak physical condition overnight or leaving said alterations to his body to get that peak condition. I don’t think he’d let him think about it, or if he picks up on it just ignores that side of it. (which at the same time could be a fun bit to write with any of my partners’ muses that would know his body (at least his current one) & recognize the changes.
Emma also brought up shapeshifting, which we both agreed that he wouldn’t do anything too intense with shapeshifting because of his past experiences with Raven. However, he already shapeshifts, even forming full outfits out of nothing. Well not entirely out of nothing.
In this panel, he started with the suit above, the only thing he didn’t make is the staff and the crown, he did alter Loki’s crown however (not sure crown is the right word). He even gave himself that short beard to finish the look off. & it’s all his doing, considering later loki is just ‘you fell for the classic motivational speech, I can’t give you my power. You had it all along blah blah blah.’
I have a feeling those clothes would stay there if he didn’t absorb it back into himself. Or at least i think his o.o reaction for a few seconds when it sticks around would be hilarious to write.
So, i’ve come to the realisation that Adult bobby in Earth 616 cannot be canonically as young as he is...
Bobby Drake was in his mid teens by the time 1963 rolled around (the year Xmen was created) which means he was born in the 50s, canonically.
The currently story line, such as all new xmen and its likes (IvX and whatnot) cannot canonically have bobby drake as young as he is. There’s no way all of that stuff is taking place any sooner than 2010. No fucking way, alright? It’s just not possible. For it to be that way, he’s AT LEAST 50 SOME ODD YEARS OLD.
Marvel fucked up their own continuity. I’m headcanoning this right now for my bobbys and will show this to you any complaint about their ages.
Earth 616 Bobby Drake was born in 1983, thus making him 34 years old in the year 2016. (which is when i play him)
Earth TRN240 Bobby was born in 1963 (I know that he would have most likely been born in the 1950s since xmen was created in 1963, but let me make him a 70′s baby)
So my headcanon is that TRN240 Bobby is literally from a different universe and was not just given the title of TRN240 because he was time displaced. Hank didn’t really want to change the future, not of his world, but he wanted to give a different world a chance, so he found the one that resembled Earth 616 just enough and he brought them not only forward in time, but also to a different universe.
Earth TRN240 would end up like 616, but 616 Hank is trying to prevent that. So TRN240 Bobby is born int he year 1963, but Earth 616 Bobby was born in 1983. If you have any questions about this just... just ask me? I’ll do my best to explain my botched thinking.
@southern-belle-outcasts asks: ✘ Any unpopular opinions about your muse? for Bobby
Muns Interpretation ~ Accepting
I’m not really sure at this point that I have one, or if I will have one I haven’t found it yet. There’s a lot of fans that are grumpy over the fact he’s forgotten as one of the Original X-men within Media. Sometimes it’ll be hinted at that he’s there but he’s kept away. That one Iceman Writer that made a lot of mess of Bobby’s persona makes a whole lotta fans grumpy so if I glare at the book it’s normal.
I’ve found a lot of people that want more Chri/Bobby & that love them too. People want more of a throple in the comics & their growth while helping each other rise. Some do find Chri/Bobby boring so that could be seen as unpopular I guess, because I’m all about them (along with Romeo & Shinobi) & have two partners I just love how they write him/them.
I have some instances where I wanna smack Bobby upside the head with how he is with some exes but I get the impression a lot of people have that urge. I love his friendship with Kitty & Rogue. I’ve found more than one person who merges the canon so Rogue’s his ex so I doubt that’s it. I love the fire & ice jokes & would think it amusing for him to date Fire Elemental. But that’s a popular notion.
If I found something, honestly it would probably be stretching. Which would involve a kink I made for Bobby. I’ll slap it under a read more, if a follower doesn’t want to see it. I made it because of his ability for control over his body temperature & it amuses me.
@dilffactory asked awhile back: 💝 - What's their love language?
Robbie and Bobby for the RHYME
Let's talk about Romance

Robbie doesn't really have a love language ^_^; He's too focused on being a father to his brother, ghost riding, paying the bills, so on so forth that he just hasn't focused on that type of love before. (well okay when he's in his home universe. Kinda taking a break from trying to follow the current run he's in) If I had to take a guess he'd probably be communicative in his relationships when he has them. Unfortunately if they don't know about all the things he can be doing at that time it may cause a strain because he'd have to make up excuses. (unless they know about the ghost rider side)
Bobby's is affection, he comes across as affectionate & laid back to me & when you add my own personal headcanons onto the mix it just adds lots of cuddles. He really likes cuddles & being close to the ones he cares about, physically close. The ex's he's close to will definitely get the run of the mill cuddles if they're up for it, while his romantic loves will get insane amounts of cuddles. Whether it's a difficult talk, sexual, he's had a long or they have, there's a high chance a cuddle will be thrown into them mix even if a few layers of blankets need to be added.

Bobby will take her being his child from another universe fairly well, he’s not the type to turn his own blood away even if they’re not exactly his. He will however, be extremely confused on why he got married in his universe. He just doesn’t see himself marrying any of his ex-girlfriends, no matter how close they are. Namely for the fact, in the past he wasn’t entirely truthful with himself on the matter & held himself back from those relationships even when he wasn’t sure why. Now that he knows, he sees it as living that lie, even if he has a great fondness or platonic love for any of his exes, he can’t see himself thinking back as marrying one of them while there was something holding him back.
Bobby will likely avoid asking who Aimee’s mother is, mainly for the fact he’s not sure he wishes to know. Enjoying the close connections with his exes & his friends who are women. He may theorize it’s his close friend Angelica Jones considering Aimee’s powers involve pyromancy. However, even though Bobby will avoid outright asking, he’ll listen if Aimee wants to talk about her.
Bobby will try to find new & creative ways to get to know her. Probably for the fact he’d sit down & spend time with 20 questions but he’d worry that it's too tedious & try to make it fun. Without resorting to Dr. Seuss Sam I am jokes.
ngl i totally forgot about this movie and actually had to look up what it was and then i was like LMAO YEAH I KNOW THIS SHIT
Bobby’s obviously the “Jack Frost” character
Unlike Jack, he doesn’t have the whole falling into frozen water kind of backstory, but he doesn’t have a good story
He was skiing with his family when there was an avalanche and he got stuck in the snow
He was there for three days before he froze and starved to death :’^)
When he woke up, he was the “Jack Frost” character and has no memories really
He’s very about taking care of others and making sure things are good and happy
He once watched a kid suffer from the same fate as him and as much as he dug at the snow, he couldn’t find him and now he hates his powers and hates using them
Instead of an external boogie man, he fights with an internal one
He’s constantly telling himself he could have down something to save the child and he hates himself for never finding him
One day he stumbles across a clipping of his younger brother in the newspaper and he feels an overwhelming surge of sorrow but he doesn’t know why
Bobby sings this song to Caden all the time and when he goes back to his time/universe, he likes to write the lyrics in the margins of his letters to Caden.
(also maybe the letters get to Caden via limbo? idrk how this is working but its working)
