Two Gautier men are charged in a string of auto burglaries in the St. Andrew’s community early Tuesday morning. At least 12 vehicles, all of them unlocked, were burglarized between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Twenty-three year-old Benjamin Green and 20-year-old Bobby Lowe were arrested early Tuesday afternoon after search warrants were served at each of their own homes in Gautier. Sheriff Mike Ezell says…

Auto Burglary

One man is behind bars following an auto burglary at the I-P Casino in Biloxi.. Officers responded to reports Sunday of two people seen breaking into a parked vehicle where police learned a pistol had been stolen from the car. During a traffic stop.. On This Day in History July 10, 1936: Philadelphia Phillies slugger Chuck Klein becomes the fourth player in Major League History to hit four home runs in one game. He also becomes the first National League player to do so since Ed Delahanty of the same Philadelphia Phillies did so almost forty years earlier to the day, on July 13, 1896. 

Up to that point, only three players before Klein had hit four home runs in one game. Here is the list:

Bobby Lowe, Boston (National League) May 30, 1894

Ed Delahanty, Philadelphia (National League) July 13, 1896

Lou Gehrig, New York Yankees June 3, 1932

It would be another twelve years before another player would hit four homers in a game. That would be Pat Seerey of the Chicago White Sox on July 18, 1948.

Klein would be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veteran's Committee as Player in 1980.
