I haven't ranted in a very very long time but this is a very good reason to do so today!! Answer me this please..Is it disrespectful for a whole genre to be ignored? For some strange reason us blues guys & gals never get the full respect we deserve! Where is Bobby Rush? He is our elder at 87. Where is 7 time grammy winner Buddy Guy? He is about to start his farewell tour along with a new album, he could definitely use the help from this list to help push his tour. Where in the heck is Taj Mahal? This list don't even have John Mayall or Charlie Mussellwhite, nor Bonnie Raitt who started off in blues and always been a blues advocate. They all singlehandedly helped change American music and music worldwide forever way before all of these musicians - no disrespect or disregard. Just ask Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Steve Miller, who are on this list. What gives? I know there are way more of us under 70 but wow!! I can Not believe that I forgot to post this. A couple of weekends ago took us to #zoofest 2022 in downtown @lincolnnebraskausa for date night, where we got to see the Legendary #BobbyRush do his thing. This dude is an absolutely incredible entertainer and talent. Go down the rabbit hole and google Bobby Rush, so so influential. After his set, he was nice enough for photo ops at his merch table.
