Look i know nothin off the top of my head about astrological signs but yeah i personally default esther as gemini because of mabel (and also bc i too am a gem so *shrug*). For the sake of argument, though, what gemini characteristics do you see in her?

honestly, I don’t think she has many Gemini traits at all? I don’t think she’s an air sign, and I don’t think she’s a mutable sign either, so if I had to pick an air sign for her it’d be Libra [and she’s not ~*quirky*~ enough for Aquarius but it still fits better than Gemini imo]. some of the positive traits that are common to all three air signs—wittiness/cleverness in particular—fit her, but she doesn’t give me the impression that she’s lively/exciting/changeable the way Geminis are described as being, and she has none of the negative Gemini traits I’ve run into, i.e. flighty, superficial, indecisive, impulsive. the only Gemini trait I think she has is independence, and potentially emotionally distant, but those’re hardly exclusive to Geminis [they’re both Aquarius traits, for example. both Aries traits too]. I could see her having air somewhere in her chart, ascendant or moon, maybe, but she’s too solid for an air sign as her sun sign to me, and her negative traits—being too stubborn for her own good and refusing to let go of the case against Nucky even when it gets her exiled to Antarctica the night court, for example—are far more in line with various earth signs. as for the other elements, she’s not emotional enough for water signs and she’s not in-your-face the way fire signs are.
