Something happened between Wednesday, October 4 and Thursday, October 5, 2023. The very popular Instagram account, BobStool_BobJones went kaput.

It's now back as of Thursday, October 12 without fanfare or new post.

WutBJU has its final post. Was this the thing that was just too much for Student Life? It's not THAT terrible. What happened?

On Tuesday, October 3, Bobstool asked this:

Bob Jones University's Student Life now has a "quiz" for female students to take to see if they understand the dress code rules.

On Tuesday, March 6, 2023 in #BJUChapel, Steve Pettit was explaining to the student body about the conflict between Pelagius and Augustine. And in a Gnostic-ish moment, in explaining that spiritual love is not the same as "natural love," Pettit stated (11:57):

This is not what Taylor Swift sings about, you know? "Love Story."

It's a fairly standard, albeit fundamentalist and sectarian, point.

But the students were tickled. Really tickled.

They went on to tease that maybe Swift would come to Artist Series! After all, Disney is good now at the New and Improved Bob Jones University!

Chief of Staff and Friend of the Archive, Randy Page had to say something:

Charmingly, Bobstool_BobJones is asking for "old" BJU pictures.

By "old" they mean before 2017.

And quelle surprise! The BJU folks got mad about it.

Hahahahaha. BJU folks just cannot be happy. And it's doubtful that BobStool has the stones to stand up to their tone policing.

BJU's ridiculous self-righteousness will live on!
