yeah I didn’t wanna go to prom but my friends forced me and I didn’t like my dress I was the seventh wheel I barely danced and the after party sucked. but I also know I would’ve been upset if I didn’t go. basically what I’m saying is high school sucks.

Exactly. Like, other people take pleasure in looking for a dress and getting all fancy but even that process is just likely to make me feel bad. People take it so seriously and I just don't get it. Like if it's something you enjoy more power to you, I just don't see why people make it into this huge even that everyone has to experience or else you're missing out. Like, literally, it's just a room full of the same people you see everyday mostly under the influence and touching each other inappropriately. I feel like the kinds of people who enjoy that are the people who do that anyway, so why is it even a big thing? Because it requires formal attire? People spend so much money on it and I just don't see the point. But I know if I don't go I'm going to be hunched over my laptop eating my feelings and hating everything, harboring misplaced resentment even though I chose not to go. Why do things that shouldn't matter matter? Fucking high school.
