Samantha and Mike were blessed with incredibly generous friends, who allowed them to host a wedding at their home. Mike and Samantha grew up in North Miami, so it was ideal to have their wedding here in Florida with their friends and family rather than in #chicago where they now live! • The food was catered by @thedancingpalate and again they did an amazing job. Today is a nerve wracking day for me. I go in for my 3 month cancer check up... Yep, I got the big C, and was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2014. I had 2 TURBT’s along with Metomycin (chemo) installations and BCG (immunotherapy) for almost a year and a half.. So far so good! • If anything pulled me through that dark and difficult time, it was the love of my family and friends, along with the desire to keep creating and capturing amazing wedding images. I really have a passion for intimate wedding day storytelling. • I’m currently working out the details to provide a donation with a charity for every engagement and wedding in the names of my couples for children with cancer and other deadly diseases.
