Silver City Ghost Town, Bodfish, California ☆☆© Photo & Blog Credit : @nk_aroundtheworld Visit Profile for Professional Photography☆☆ The Well's Fargo office which you see on the photo was once one of the stage stop buildings for overnight guests oríginally located at the community of Hot Springs. The barbershop and hotel next door were later additions. Many famous and well-to-do people stayed at resort for therapeutic and healing qualities of the mineral water bubbling up out of artesian wells at the site. There were dozens of town of Hot Springs during its colorful history including a two-story hotel, blacksmith shop, private residences and other outbuildings. The hotel was to be moved here to Silver City in 1971 but itinerants who were illegally camped out in the historic structure started a fire in the fireplace that had not been used in years. The “Hot Springs House" burned to the ground. Ten of the buildings on the site were moved to Silver City the only remaining of the once famous resort Ghost town. Recently, the former town site was purchased and the new owners plan to re-open the Hot Springs, build a hotel, resort, and construct the worlds largest swimming pool". The post office which you see on the photo is one of just a few remaining structures accessible to the public from the rip-roaring town of Claraville.
