My best grouping on my 15m training today. These old arrows are too stiff. Spine 400 cut to 29,5”. At 15m they were ok, but at 20+ they became increasingly random. Was quite fun seeing the effect of spine issues.
When bare shaft testing I believe you really do need to test at long ranges too, as the arrows behaves worse when it loses speed.
Getting some new shafts tuesday, where I’ll try to test the arrows. 3 fletched and 3 bare shaft - at ranges from 5-30m. Cutting 1/8”-1/4” at a time to make sure the arrows will fly completely straight at any range. I guess when you have a fast bow, you need to test at longer ranges, compared to a slower bow, where the issues will show at shorter range.
