Body Reference: Sene Lavellan

*Edited just to focus on Sene! (Because she deserves her own post. I’ll come back and do Solas another time.)

I know artists use visual references all the time for drawing anatomy, but I think a lot of writers do, too, as it helps to position characters within a world, and especially with warriors and athletes, to understand how they use their bodies during scenes of violence and action. It’s also helpful for writing scenes of repose (ie: How much space do they take up on the couch?) and yes, also scenes of sex.

I write Sene as very tall, especially for an elf, and lean-muscled. A powerful athlete, with focus on strength, precision, and balance. She is like a combat archer, and, like Solas, she will scrap if given the chance. She is rarely content to lurk in the shadows. I have always thought of her as a very tall ballerina--graceful, but a lot of raw strength underneath. She is about five inches shorter than Solas, and he is both impressed and seduced by her physicality and athleticism. Her strength constantly surprises him.

Sene Lavellan - Drew Jacoby (American ballet dancer)

Size: 5′10″ (178 cm)

Drew is extremely tall for a ballet dancer and a serious athlete. If you like ballet or just want to see some impressive choreography, go watch some of her videos on YouTube. Sene is like a combat archer, so I have always envisioned her as a very tall ballerina. Lean musculature, and strong. Few tall ballerinas exist in our world, but they’re out there, and they’re commanding and beautiful as hell.

Friends and foes... Audrey and Adam

Im a lil rusty on human faces, so these still need detail and so much more...

Still, I hope this rough image helps anyone picture the story more accurately.

Audrey is on the left, Adam is on the right.

Audrey has dark brown hair, auburn-ish undertones. Her eyes are also brown, and there's the tiniest flecks of green close to the pupil. She has a scar on her neck that will come into play later.

Adam has chesnut-y hair. Dirty blond, more like. He has grey eyes and a super sculpted face. Thick brows, his lips are kinda thin.

Both have curly hair, although Adam has tighter curls than Audrey. Hers go away if she brushes through them with her fingers.
