NPC: Captain Rook
Born as Bogoruuk, this male half-orc Fighter is from Cheliax. Rook left his job as a Chelish town guard and came to Reeftide for adventure and excitement 20 years ago, but was roped into being the Captain of the Guard in Reeftide by Lady Morgain. He's 38, and growing slightly bitter about his advancing age and lack of prospects. Most Reeftiders cannot stand up to the very intimidating Captain, so he tends to take liberties from time to time. It is whispered (ever so quietly) that Lady Morgain drugged Rook with love potion to persuade him to stay in Reeftide before he could go gallivanting off into ruined Nidal. Spending a few hours in the domineering Rook's company forces one to either dismiss the rumors outright or conclude that Lady Morgain regretted the love potion very quickly, as Captain Rook's opinion on females is somewhat uncultured. Although, if some of what they say about the Lady is true, maybe she favors such rough men.
