From the series of illustrations for Henryk Sienkiewicz's novel "Ogniem i mieczem" ("With Fire and Sword"), the first part of the famous "Trylogia", by a Polish artist, Jan Marcin Szancer (1902-1973). The charcoal variant published in the edition from 1954.
It is a fan account existing only for H. Sienkiewicz's "Trilogy" and the Polish & Ukrainian culture glory. I don’t benefit from it.
