I have been troubled for several months now and I figured i’d write about it as i try to push thru it …

1600 acres of land just a mile down the road from me has been wiped out and a four lane highway is soon to be paved. I have to drive down this road on the way to work daily and i am devastated anew each day.

1600 acres! - And what for?

An electric vehicle plant. I can’t even fathom this - who cares about driving an electric vehicle anyway. I’ve not heard or read anything good about EVs.

The 4th of July celebrations are about to begin so i wonder about the wildlife that survived the clearing that i am sure are even more devastated than me. They’re already scared and scrambling for a place to live…

And now come the fireworks.

Did you know that the 4th of July is one of the busiest times for in-take of wildlife at wildlife care centers because the animals are so frightened they abandon their nests? Hell, My pup about shakes out if her skin at the sound of thunder let alone fireworks.

Don’t get me wrong i appreciate our freedoms and the right to celebrate as much as anyone, and tho i have no answers, i just wish there was another way.

At work people are always asking me, “what can i plant that the deer won’t eat” and i get that, but really? What do you expect? Some of these same people don’t want to buy plants that attracts bees either. Seriously? They need a crash course in science. At the risk of sounding like a smart ass, which i have been know to be, i advise them to go to Hobby Lobby and look for flowers🙄
