Out of all the shoots, I’d say that this one may be the most rushed in its planning stages, as we all managed to gather as a team and organize ourselves within the span of maybe 3-4 days! Cyrus went location scouting ahead of time, and found 2 beautiful spots to shoot! The first location was a beautiful field right next to YVR ailrport’s runway! So we would see planes landing VERY close by as we shot there, and we even managed to get the landing plan in one shot! The second location was a little down the road from this first location, called Iona Beach. It was beautiful! And we even managed to get there in time to catch the sunset to be our backdrop for the last half of the shoot!
Highlights?
Picnic on the field! - Cyrus’ assistants, Nick and Herbert, kindly brought everyone lunch from Tim Horton's to our first location, and we broke for lunch from there. We also all swapped pretty little business cards over our sandwhiches & coffee (except me, because model comp cards are not wallet sized, at least not mine :P)
GIANT HAIR! - Amelia brought a bunch of awesome hair extensions and gave me this messy giant hair look, which I absolutely loved! She managed to make it blend so well into my actual hair and I honestly just wanted that look everyday... So much volume...WANT! #drool
Eyeshadow FOR DAYYYYYS! - Aaron started out with a slightly more neutral colour, and moved onto something a bit edgier! He coordinated the eyeshadow and lip colour according to the wardrobe and to eachother! My favorite eyeshadow he put on me was the dark purple shade that basically did the smizing for me!
Motion Shots! - Cyrus did an awesome job capturing the motion shots that I was doing. Motion shots can be quite difficult to capture, especially if I’m not just moving in one spot but all over the place! I jumped, I spun, I lounged, I hair-flipped, and she managed to capture the loveliest of moments that flattered the clothes I was wearing!
Flowy Garments! - Angie brought over 6 outfits and a handful of jewelry to go with every outfit! Most of the clothes had this flowy/softness to it that I really liked and definitely gave me alot to play with as I did the spinning/twirling/jumping/lunging motion shots!
We started make up around 2 and managed to wrap it up a little before nine! So even though we were all exhausted by the end of it, it was still an awesome time with an awesome team!! :D
