Synopsis - Bokuto gives the reader a surprise

a/n - Hi friends! It’s been a minute! Life has gotten crazy busy but today is a very special day for one of my favorite people on this blog. @janellion thank you for everything you have ever done for me. You’re such an incredible person and you make me so so happy!! I wanted to create something for you ever since you were so kind and made that amazing story with Daichi for me. This won’t be the last thing that I write for you, but I hope this makes your day a little more special <3 Happy Birthday Kayla! I love you!!! BoKay for life

Bokuto wanted tonight to be perfect. After all, you were the most important person in his life and he wanted to make sure you knew that. It wasn’t long after the two of you had gotten together that he realized your smile was the reason he wanted to keep existing. You were everything to him, and being with you was as easy as breathing. To him, you were home. He hated traveling because that meant he couldn’t see the cute faces you’d make all the time, or the way that you would dance slightly while cooking. He especially would miss cuddling you because your arms were the most comforting thing to him, and being pressed up against you every night was something that he never wanted to give up. 

He glanced at the clock, nervous that you would walk in too soon and see him putting the last few touches around. He had decorated the room with beautiful black candles, and had laid your favorite flower petals around everywhere. He wasn’t trying to initiate anything sexual related, but if it was to happen he wasn’t going to complain. A Disney movie intro was paused on the T.V. because he knew that always cheered you up after a long day of work. He finished laying the snacks on the blanket before going out into the living room, only to see you sprawled on the couch. 

“Baby, you’re home!” Bokuto said excitedly, his heart falling slightly that he wasn’t at the door when you walked in. “How was work?”

“Absolute shit.” You didn’t look at him, but he came towards you with the softest look on his face.

“I’m sorry. Do you want to talk about it?” He shifted you so you were on his chest. He let his fingers glide across any exposed skin he could reach. He was so comforting that you could feel his love and warmth caress your tired body in the most blissful way.

“No, I’d rather not. We can worry about it tomorrow.”

“Well, tonight is about you.” He kissed the top of your head and you couldn’t help but let the stresses of the day leave you. Grabbing your hand, he stood up and started pulling you towards the bedroom.

“Bo, I don’t know if I want to-” You stopped speaking after you saw the room before you. “Wow.” You breathed.

“I take it you like?” He grinned and kissed your cheek. He bounced on his feet slightly as he pulled a small piece of paper out of his pocket. “Here, this is for you.” 

“‘Good for one free massage and spa bath.’ Oh hell yeah!” You smiled at the small drawings of roses around the scribbles.

“I mean I know I gave you a massage yesterday, but my baby deserves the best every day.” You hugged him tight and his heart leapt when he felt your smile against him.

“What’s this for?” You whispered.

“I love you, sweetheart. I just wanted to do something special for you.”

“God, I love you.” Squeezing even tighter, you buried your face into his chest and breathed in the comfort. “Alright, snacks and a movie, then massage and bath.” You grinned and he leaned down to steal a quick kiss. 

“Anything for you, my love.”

we probably go to a diner or out to eat! since the boys are best friends and we’ve become so close, any lull in conversation is more comfortable silence than anything <3 

we def share a milkshake and daichi & suga are like ??? n we’re like ... get ur own

a triple date with sugaxin, bokay, & daikura would include...

a 2 am spontaneous beach trip to go watch the cool bio-luminescent waves that have been happening (this is happening in cali rn therefore it’s happening in the double date)

also includes a 1:30 am 7 eleven snack run

DRABBLES UNDER THE CUT! <3

sugaxin & daikura:

“you know, i’ve been waiting for the day to come that we’re all able to go out without you two acting as if you’re just friends,” suga muses from his seat next to you, blowing the paper off of his straw. you nod in agreement, giving me a bright smile. you’ve known about my crush on daichi for so long and the fact that it’s finally happened is a welcome not-so-surprise for both you and suga.

“he’s right -- we had a three-way bet with asahi over when it was gonna happen. i won, thank you very much.” you grin, sticking your tongue out at your now pouting boyfriend.

“how much?” i ask, brow raised as daichi looks at me incredulously -- is that really the question to be asking when your friends just admitted to betting on your relationship? i look at him and shrug, “what? we’re together now, it doesn’t matter -- i wanna know how much that confession was worth.”

when you tell me ten bucks i go quiet for a second, smiling to myself softly, “hell yeah. now all we have to do is bet on when asahi’s gonna date someone.” i murmur, just as our waitress comes to bring us our drinks. we ordered a two milkshakes and i immediately put one between us, grinning over at you as we both put two straws in and go to take a sip. the boys look at us, a bit dumbfounded, and we both turn to them with raised eyebrows. 

“what? get your own.” is all we say, though the know we’re joking. suga just laughs, wrapping his arm around your waist to pull you closer to him and plant a soft kiss to your head. daichi does the same, though he pulls me into his side and gives me a soft smile, kissing my cheek and grinning. 

all four of us are currently thinking about how lucky we are to have significant others who are such good friends, and that’s how most of our dates go -- good vibes, good conversation, and best friends.

sugaxin, bokay, & daikura (ALSO LISTEN TO TONGUE TIED BY GROUPLOVE BC THIS IS THIS DOUBLE DATES ANTHEM)

our phones all blow up at 1 am -- it’s bokuto, which is no surprise, who has created a new groupchat titled “bokuto’s baddies”, which includes me, you, kayla, suga, daichi, and of course, bokuto. the texts read (all sent separately, mind you) as follows:

bokuto: guys wake up

bokuto: wake up

bokuto: wake UP

kayla: bo baby what do you want rn 

bokuto: oh hi my love <33 ok so you guys know that bio-luminescent thing that’s going on at the beach right now? 

bokuto: someone say yes

suga: *reacted with a thumbs up*

bokuto: ok cool SO everyone get ready we’re all going it’ll be a cute triple date and also we’re stopping at 7 eleven to get snacks

bokuto: i’ll drive

xin: i was mad at you for interrupting my sleep but i am IN

kayla: me 2! 

suga: me 3! sakura...you’re gonna have to go wake daichi up yourself

sakura: already on it. throwing rocks at his window as we speak

sakura: you guys are so fucking lucky i love you

waking daichi up is an entire trip on it’s own, you guys waiting for me as i call him and continuously throw rocks out his window until he looks out, ready to yell at me before he realizes who it is. i hold my phone up, indicating he needs to check it, and he realizes that the car parked in front of his house is bokuto’s. he sighs, even though the prospect of a beach trip right now with some of his favorite people does sound exciting.

once that’s all sorted out we pile into bokuto’s car (which ISN’T mean to seat six, by the way, so it’s you and i on daichi and suga’s laps while kayla rides shotgun) and head for the 7-eleven.

it’s chaos. we grab like eight different bag of chips and ten different drinks (i sneak off with like 3 cans of redbull, much to daichi’s dismay) and i swear something about the bright artificial light and the early morning hours has us FERAL.

you and i are ready to fight GOD in this 7-eleven tonight. kayla and bokuto scheme on how to buy alcohol while suga chimes in. daichi ultimately gets roped in and is the one to buy it because he looks old enough and mature enough -- little do they know he’s 18 and just as much of a chaotic idiot as we are, just masked.

the ride to the beach is SO FUN. screaming music at the top of our lungs, cuddling with our boys in the back seat while bokuto has one hand on kayla’s thigh the entire time, rubbing small circles with his other hand on the road. the windows are down because it’s 2 am and no one’s going to hear us anyway, and the ocean breeze feels amazing.

once we’re actually down at the beach we sprawl out the towels and blankets we brought, setting our snacks down and staring at the waves. we even play at the shore for a bit, the boys swinging us around and pretending like they’re going to throw us in. we’re a laughing mess by the end of it.

the blue shine is beautiful and mesmerizing, and for a second everything is calm. 

suga kisses your forehead and pulls you into his side, relishing your warmth and the way your hands intertwine with his. 

bokuto holds kayla from behind, resting his chin atop her head and holding her protectively, moving down to kiss her cheek and admire her beauty.

daichi’s holding me on his back, hands gripping the back of my thighs, and i lean down to give him a soft kiss, resting my head on his shoulder. 

we hold our significant others tightly, staring out at the ocean, wondering how we got so lucky -- both for them and for the amazing friends we share this with.
