THE WARTHOG.  This is a tough little bugger, cute as can be running across the savanna with tail held high like a flag.  They have a pretty stable population, quite probably from being so adaptable!  They're an intelligent lot and are actually called "wart" hogs because of the thickened patches of protective skin on their face - not because of true warts.  They can go a respectable while without water (as in MONTHS), and make for a very entertaining "Pumba" in Disney's The Lion King.
