the cold of winter was welcomed to the small russian. winters here didn’t compare to how they were back home, and she was thankful for it. still, the albino had her lower face buried in her scarf, shivering a small bit. she had a job to do. no leaving yet.
she was handing out toys to those who needed them for christmas. she does this every year around this time. a small wave at the passerby as they lock eyes. and a smile!
it’s strange, how things happen and they don’t turn out like you think they will.

“…That’s a sad way of saying it, but I guess you’re right.” Destiny is a funny, fickle thing; nothing ever seems to happen the way she wants them to, no matter how much she prays, no matter rain or snow or shine. She didn’t think she’d be spending her holidays here, really.
But he’s right. It’s the course of life– things just happen in whatever succession they wish. Even if destiny and fate don’t mean anything, there’s something to be said for doing what you want to despite that. “Are you talking about something in particular? Are you okay?”

“Phones are kinda weird.” Sora says, false wisdom and a certain nod of his head. He speaks these words and knows them to be true, if only because it took him a while to get a handle on a cellphone. The new one he received his nothing like his gummiphone that much he’s positive about, but similarities are there, enough that he can at least navigate without mounting frustration and confusion the entire time. It is a point of pride, however, since there’s no Jiminy to coach him through what each button and swipe mean; the fact that Sora can figure it out all on his own is a good thing too.
“I can help you figure out if you want!” his offer genuine, head craned up at the man he’s speaking to. It’s a good thing he’s fine with his height, lest his feelings get hurt each time he encounters someone much taller—it’s an easy feat to accomplish. “I don’t really know what all this one can do, so we can learn about it together if you need any help!”

A “trolly” was by far the most interesting thing he’d overheard from passing conversations. Something about the spectacular show of lights and decorations being one of a kind sounded all too alluring to ignore. He’d yet to find a reason behind this festival - normally a town bustling with excitement and holiday spirit would be something he’d avoid - but combining the unfamiliar territory with the frigid weather meant he was stuck here until he knew his way around and out.
Finding the mysterious trolly led to somewhat of a unsatisfactory feeling. He’d expected something grander than something the dreaded Tinker Knight could build in a fortnight. Regardless, he ignores his bitterness and climbs aboard, eyeing the cramped space with a judgmental eye. Clambering onto the seat leads him meeting face to face with a peculiar looking individual. A shame. He was hoping for some alone time, but this civilian seemed to have had the same curiosity as his own.
Small talk was never his thing. Twiddling his thumbs, he finds himself bouncing between asking about the weather or questioning the strange choice of attire. In the end, he points a quick finger outward towards the youth’s headband, raising a curious brow.
“ Where’d you get those feathers? ”
