The Adventure Zone Amnesty Episode 19 - The Calamity

Or should I say, the Calamitree. Eh. Anyways. Third abomination means end of the third arc! We’re chugging along here

Now that I’ve had some time to digest the new amnesty episode I have a theory:

Spoilers for Amnesty (Duh) so scroll if y’ain’t ready to see them and haven’t blocked the tags :D

I think all the bom-boms are the same bom-bom, based on the conversation the abomination had with Ned whilst in Dani/Boyd form in the cryptonomica.

I mean, to me, it just seemed like it knew too much about Ned, and about Kepler, to have only been in Kepler for this one arc. The familiarity there, too, I think was more than just a trick to fool Ned. I think it was history.

And when Duck dealt the harm to the abomination that would normally kill it, as we saw with the white-light form crawling out of the husk of what the abomination was, the abomination didn’t disintegrate into light as it did previously in the other arcs.

The abominations have been getting stronger, as we’ve seen throughout all the arcs, and I don’t know, I just think my personal theory is that the abomination maybe takes a different form every time, and has to kind of re-charge in between attacks on Kepler. We’ve already seen a sort of limbo-space when Ned was in the electronic computer-screen space a few episodes ago and we saw the message typed out from Billy: pizza. duck. run. Griffin made a big deal this arc about the digitized screams and the digital sounds of the abomination as it got injured. Maybe Billy, as part of a previous abomination’s attack but not an abomination himself, has access to this space?

It’s not a fully-formed theory yet, but this is what immediately popped into my head when I heard the latest episode, especially the part about the four-armed light person crawling out of the abomination husk.
