So my friend and I are currently in a clash between the Deathtouch rules. We’re torn between if a ping ability. Say I put a Fire Whip on a Typhoid Rats and tap to ping a Worldspine Wurm. Does it die?

All damage dealt by a source with deathtouch is the same, whether it’s combat damage or not. 

The damage dealt by a Typhoid Rat using the ability granted to it by Fire Whip will be lethal to any creature.

We work ahead with greater amount of detail as we get closer. I'm working on the design of the Spring set of 2019 and exploratory design on the Fall set of 2019 and am doing advance work on years farther out.

If I have multiple Hardened Scales enchantments out, would it give me infinite +1/+1 counters, or would it just give me an extra counter per enchantment? I don't quite understand it. Thank you in advance! (I didn't know to message or ask)

Each copy of Hardened Scales just adds an extra counter once.

Hardened Scales has a replacement effect, not a triggered ability, so it doesn’t care about other copies of Hardened Scales.
