Ares hadn't even realised he was bleeding until he'd nearly keeled over in front of his comrades in arms. His face and demeanour both darken considerably when it finally occurs to him that he quite literally swooned in front of the platoon. He's eternally grateful that the man who rushes to his aid doesn't mock him. He doesn't say very much, actually.

The snowy haired man works with deft fingers but gentle hands. He stays quiet but Ares can just make out a low tune as the man hums as he works. As the man applies antiseptic to clean the wound, Ares notes that he doesn't feel the characteristic sting. His ally continues working and he just... floats upon air, nay he becomes one with the air. The bandage is tied tightly around his thigh, but not so much as to cut off his circulation. It's truly exceptional work, far beyond his own limitations of applying pressure to a wound and shouting for someone more competent. He accept the potion passed into his hands without a word and scowls at the bitter taste.

"Thanks." he eventually says to the man, when the taste dissipates and he starts to feel gravity once more. "I owe you one." Not least for saving his life but also for protecting him from the even worse fate of awkward small talk.

Stranger Danger

Deirdre has the day off of classes and decides to take a trip into the nearby town. It is the first time she can remember going off like this all on her own. She's nervous but excited! She does love meeting new people and making friends but it is difficult to do so while on the arm of the intimidating Lord Arvis.

Being out and about on her own is an entirely different experience. She stops at a flower stall to admire the blooms and a very nice young man tells her she's beautiful and is sweet enough to buy her a rose. She thanks her new found friend and goes on her way. Someone else even bought her a sweet roll. People are so kind!

Eventually two definitely not at all shady looking men approach her. They can tell immediately that she is quite naive and even better, wealthy. One nods at the other who puts on a worried expression as he addresses her. "Ah m'lady, you seen like a kindly soul. My friend here found a wounded puppy down that alley. Someone's gotta help the poor bastard."

Deirdre cover a gasp with a hand. "Oh of course! I will do whatever I can!"

They start to lead her toward a dark and for sure not creepy looking alley with the most certainly is actually a puppy that needs help.

lene has a habit of sleeping in chairs rather than beds! even if you gave her a bedroom to rest in, she would likely take the chair/sofa if there was one in there instead, and if there isn’t either of those, then she’d curl up on the floor.

she’s grew up in a very, very crowded convent and being one of the older kids there back then, she would give up any cot space for the younger children. 

she thinks it’s a good skill to not require a bed to catch some winks, because she’s been planning on traveling to find her mother anyhow. buying makeup or accessories just for the sake of looking pretty for her job is already expensive enough, so if she doesn’t have to have any other luxuries, then that’ll work out better for her in her mind.
