Random question, what was Brokenstar’s relationship with his father like? Or more specifically what’d he think of Raggedstar before the whole… killing him thing

He LOVED his dad. He loved him painfully. Brokenstar doesn't regret what he did, but also misses him every day of his life.

His dad was all he had growing up, they were thick in the way that a lot of single parents and only children are. Runningnose was a best friend, but Brokenstar only had one family member. There is no Uncle Scorchwind-- that was Ragged's pre-Honor Title.

I imagine Ragged didn't make Broken stay in the nursery past a certain age. When he didn't need milk, he was sleeping in the leader's den.

He taught him how to hunt frogs, how to not sink in mud, where to find the best grubs. When he was old enough, they fought together as an unstoppable pair. Brokentail watched him die more than once.

Raggedstar is there when Brokenstar dies, too. After it all ends. Brokenstar wakes up in the Meadow of Young Stars, and Ragged mends his son's eyesight.

In spite of everything, he loves him. More than anything.

How did Runningnose feel about Brokenstar’s death? I bet he missed his evil mans

Bonefall Runningnose feels his loss every single day. He is like a claw with no paw, a hawk with no sky, a web with no spider.

Brokenstar's first death was hard enough; but Runningnose doesn't despair. He's the sort of person who expresses grief through even more dedication; so his next step was getting Nightstar out of power. That soft, weak cat who worked with those ThunderClan mangepelts to usurp the rightful leader of ShadowClan...

He knew he would be reunited with Brokenstar in the Dark Forest one day, and found comfort in training Littlecloud to be the next cleric (he reminds him so, so much of his honor sire), but that doesn't fix absence. It can't change how the world feels colder when he realizes his badger-sized shadow is no longer making his silhouette larger. It doesn't replace his rich purr of approval for a scheme well-planned.

Giving the childhood acorn necklace to Firestar when Brokenstar realized his destiny was to revive SkyClan was... hard. Very hard. He didn't want to do it, because it would mean not being able to channel him, and even more, it would mean there would be no Brokenstar in his afterlife. True hell.

But he does it. He gives his most prized possession to a kittypet, because he'll do anything for Brokenstar. Even if it means letting him go.

He waits for him. He waits for him as long as he must; even as Tigerstar's ridiculous ambition grates on his nerves in OotS. Living in the Dark Forest without Brokenstar really is the hell he thought it would be; he sees it as punishment for his actions.

If you love something, let it go. If it doesn't come back, it never belonged to you in the first place. He has to believe this. If a ThunderClan child can wait in tunnels for a thousand seasons, then so can he.

Weird Question, but how would Bonefall Brokenstar feel if Firestar was his son, but he wasn't able to prove that was his son living in Thunderclan? (Runningnose probably believes him though.) Would he still side Tigerstar?

Oh Bonefall Brokenstar wouldn't give a good goddamn LMAO.

He has two biokits already, Littlecloud and Rowanclaw, and he already couldn't give less of a hoot. He sired them for Newtspeck but as far as he's concerned, they're just ShadowClan kits.

Bonefall Brokenstar isn't a baby-eater like canon, and he's not out here crushing them under his claws, but he isn't exactly dad material either. The only thing that would change is that he would command someone try and kidnap Firepaw, even though he's an apprentice and considered too old to steal.

When he's a ghost he reflects on how he never got close with his sons, how things could have been different. He's glad that Littlecloud managed to inherit a couple things from him, it's a comfort to know that Runny feels like he still has a part of him.
