Opera-singing garbagemen, Sweets being in need of cuddles, Depression/Avatar!Intern, Booth's Captain America boxers... This is just fantastic. Oh and naked Sweets. WHAT. Super predictable plot is super predictable though.

"The Method in the Madness" - Bones

        Bones has been suffering just a little bit the same way The Mentalist has – it’s becoming predictable. However, Bones is slightly worse off in that paired with that predictability is an apparent lessening of the skill of its main characters. In this episode, it was obvious to us – two people with no training in forensic anthropology or any of the other amazing talents attached to our Squints – that the murder weapon they were looking for was some manner of machine. The strong man gambit made no sense. Those bone wounds, even to our untrained eyes, looked far too deep and precise to be the work of a mere mortal. But that didn’t even occur to Brennan until the final moments. We ask again, is she losing her touch? Or is it just lazy writing and a tired effort to make a flimsy murder stretch to a 42 minute airtime? (Spoiler! the business partner did it, accidentally.)

“The Method in the Madness” also saw Sweets dealing with his and Daisy’s breakup. He’s living in his office until Booth asks him to (temporarily) come stay with him and Brennan. There’s an office pool on how long these living arrangements will last. We think Angela, with a month, might just claim the prize. But we’re also counting down the episodes until the reappearance of Sparling. We expect her re-entry to the world of Bones will coincide quite closely with Sweets getting his own place. We give it two weeks. Three, max. – B+K
