In an apparent effort to generate as little views for the show as possible, the Anime ADVocate takes a look at the mostly forgotten, but insanely good science-fiction drama, Kurau Phantom Memory.

Overlooked during both its Japanese broadcast and delayed English release, could it possibly be the greatest anime no-one talks about?

Netflix Announces New Anime Series

Netflix has partnered with Anima, Sublimation, and David Production in addition to its earlier deals with Production I.G and bones last year to create original animated series.

Anima Inc. is working on Altered Carbon: Resleeved, an anime feature spin-off set in the same universe as Netflix and Skydance Television’s live-action series.

Sublimation Inc. is working on Dragon’s Dogma, based on the action RPG by CAPCOM. The anime will follow a man as he seeks revenge on a dragon for stealing his heart. He is brought back to life as an “Arisen.”

David Production Inc. is working on SPRIGGAN, an original anime based on Hiroshi Takashige and artist Ryoji Minagawa’s manga about a man with supernatural powers.

Production I.G, Inc. is working on Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, a sequel to Ghost in the Shell SAC series.

WIT Studio is working on Vampire in the Garden, an original series about an unlikely friendship between the human and vampire race that is intertwined with the power of music.

Bones Inc. is working on Super Crooks, by Mark Millar and artist Leinil Francis Yu where “crime and trills meets supernatural powers in this Millarworld title.”
