???: Welcome boys. Do not fear. You are not dead, but rather on a separate plane of existence. 

Royal: Woah, when did they get there?

Denim: Did you kidnap us!? 

???: We did no such thing. Please, each of you take a seat.

Royal: Where? There’s no chairs-oh.

???: You, come this way. 

[tainoodles]

Denim: I think it’s just us...

Royal: I can’t see anything? Am I blind?

Denim: I can see you. Can you see me?

Royal: Oh! Yes! Good good.

Denim: Weren’t we just in bed?

Royal: I thought we were. I mean, we’re in our pajamas so... yeah the last thing I remember is going to bed. 

Denim: Did we die?

Royal: No way. We would’ve seen dad... right? 

[tainoodles]

Azure: Did you not like your party? 

Denim: It was fine. Thank you mom. 

Azure: Are you sure? I hardly saw you smiling the whole time. 

Denim: Really, it’s not a big deal. 

Azure: You do know that you can’t lie to me, right? 

Denim: I know.

Azure: Okay, good. Now that means I’m going to need you to talk to me. 

[tainoodles]

Royal: Well, luckily for you, you get to head out tomorrow and lead whatever kind of life you want to live. But don’t forget about us while you’re gone. 

Denim: I couldn’t even if I tried. 

Royal: And come by and visit sometimes. I’ll take the train up to see you sometimes too!

Denim: Sounds good. 

Royal: Well, I’m gonna hit the hay. See you up there. 

[tainoodles]

Royal: Huh? Where am I? 

....

Royal: Hello!? 

[tainoodles]

Denim: I don’t! And if you knew this was what was going to happen, then why did you even agree to have a family with him?

Azure: I loved your father! And I knew that I could handle it when the time came, and I would appreciate it if you didn’t question the choices that lead to you being born. 

[tainoodles]

Denim: Ugh, I’m sorry mom. 

Azure: It’s okay sweetie. I just wish you could understand that your father didn’t abandon us. He’s doing what he has to do. And someday you will too. 

Denim: I thought dad and Royal said...

Azure: I know what they said. But things happen, and you should always be prepared. 

Denim: Right. 

Azure: Come on, let’s enjoy your last day in town, shall we?
