the doctor in the photo: famous example of emily deschanel's big sad blue eyes. brennan finds herself relating too much to the victim-- a doctor with few close relationships whose life revolved around her work. hank the security guard (ipso, facto, columbo, oreo!). brennan confesses to booth after he saves her from getting hit by a car, he rejects her and we get the most tragic sentence of "i will adjust".

the boy in the shroud: the romeo and juliet episode! a dead boy is assumed to be a street kid, but turns out to be a wealthy 17 year old who is in love with a girl in foster care. they suspect she killed him, but it turns out to have been her younger brother who was terrified of his sister leaving him. meanwhile, cam and brennan fight the entire episode over views on the kid, only to be resolved when brennan reveals her past with foster care. the end of the cam bad boss arc and where we got "freebie/freebie decline" from.

the mummy in the maze: the squint squad tracks a serial killer who is literally scaring girls to death, with god knows how many red herrings. highlights include the origin of inappropriate workplace halloween costumes (no matter how insanely gorgeous they are), "we could be wonder woman and clark kent after a really bad date", and brennan spinning in her wonder woman costume

the skull in the desert: booth and brennan travel to new mexico to help angela when her three-weeks-a-year boyfriend goes missing (eventually to turn up dead) with his tour guide (not dead, angela finds her with the Power of Love). highlights include a WONDERFUL array of of-the-era "boho" fashion, intense brennan/angela friendship, and brennan calling out a racist guy for lying about selling indigenous art

Who is your favorite squintern? Zack was a regular and doesn’t count. Also, I only get ten. I left out Oliver Wells because he seems unpopular, Beth Mayer because she’s there so briefly, and Rodolfo because I like him less than Jessica and one had to go.
