Pelant's end was kind of boring...
#Bones S09E04 – "The Sense in the Sacrifice" review
The episode starts with them trying to catch Pelant, but Pelant is one step ahead of them and gives them the body of Flynn, and evidence piles up that Flynn was involved with Pelant, to which Booth doesn’t believe. Booth then spends most of the episode trying to catch Pelant
Pelant has other plans, trying first to prove that he is better than her, and using her saviour complex in order to keep himself alive, by saving that he can solve cases. As the episode moves on, we realise that Pelant is actually trying to change her mind about him, she has done it before, especially on Booth, whom she hated at first – and this makes us see that he wants to replace Booth, maybe not in the relationship way, but in a “partner” way – the episode ends with Pelant dead, and the proposal once again happening
I liked Pelant, and wished he could have stayed on for a little bit longer – he seemed like an equal to Bones, but with more technical know-how.
